Thieme-Becker 11,51u.X1,254. - Prachtvolle Kupferstichfolge der Deckengemälde von Raffael in den Loggien des Vatikans, gestochen von Petrus Aquila, welcher die Bilder nach den Originalen für den Stich zeichnete, und Cesare Fantetti, mit 52 in der Platte numerierten Tafeln sowie am Beginn einer weiteren Tafel nach Raffael (Eckabriß ohne Bildverlust). - Es fehlen der doppelblattgroße Titel und die doppelblattgroße Widmung an Christina von Schweden. - Block vom Einband gelöst und gebrochen, etw. fleckig, einzelne Tafeln leicht gebräunt. - Splendid series of copper engravings of Raphael's ceiling frescos in the Vatican loggias. Missing the double sheet title and dedication to Christina of Sweden. - Block detached from the covers and cracked, somewhat soiled, individual plates slightly tanned. - Damaged contemporary calf.
