The first is a later edition of a legal treatise by the renowned Dutch jurist Pieter Peck the Elder (aka Pierre or Petrus Peckius, 1529 - 1589). The second is part of a legal work by the Italian jurist Matteo Bruni (c. 1510 - 1575). The second book lacks its title page and first twenty leaves. 11 x 16.5 cm. Vellum with four threads. Former monastery library book with sticker on spine and stamp inside. Boards rubbed and somewhat soiled. Binding firm. (55)
