Seine an Boccaccio geschulten Erzählungen (Ragionamenti), erstmals 1552 postum veröffentlicht, gelten als sein Hauptwerk. - - Agnolo Firenzuola (pseudonym of Michelangelo Giovannini) was born in Florence in 1493; he studied in Siena and Perugia before moving to Rome in 1516; from 1534 until his death in 1543 he lived in Prato.
