"Semedo's account of China, prepared by Giambattista Giattini. Giattini had the benefit of Semedo's presence, as he had recently returned to Rome from Lisbon and Madrid. This Italian edition differs from Faria y Sousa's Spanish version (1642) and contains additional material . Semedo gives more detailed information about the Chinese language than Gonzßlez de Mendoza (1585) and Ricci/Trigault (1615)."
