Voet, Plantin Press I, 22. Erste Ausgabe bei Plantin. Diese Ausg. nicht bei Adams u. Landwehr. - The illustrations are copied from those of the 1547 edition by Jean de Tournes. The short comments on the emblems by Sebastian Stockhamer had previously appeared in the Lyons editions of 1556 and 1561. "...illustrated (there are 112 and not 113 woodcuts as amblem no. 90 has not been illustrated)...Of the edition 1250 copies were printed..." (Voet). - Die ob.
